GOP Determined Ignorance

Santorum's answer tonite re: "Obama is King George III" should've fallen flat with such a Founding Fathers Constitution-loving Tea Party audience who claim to be such lovers of history, but of course they went wild with applause since they're stupid, completely ignorant that the mass of Americans in 1776 were perfectly fine with George III save a handful of hyper-educated, Enlightenment-loving, God-doubting pretend farmers who believed in taxation, but not taxation without representation, ie. fascist-loving Obama.  In other words, gay French Euro-fags.  THAT's who you owe America to, not some bootstraps-wearing over-represented (really? Montana has the same voice as New York? REALLY?) farmers that can't fucking read, but Jesus loves.  Ignorance does not travel well.

My favorite Founding Father is Thomas Jefferson. Does ANYBODY think TJ would not be horrified by the current GOP's willful stupidity?

From what I have read, King George was a crazy loon, and quite possibly schizophrenic. He was power hungry but poorly suited to rule since he was out of touch with his own people, and much less the American colonies. Other attributes which come to mind: arrogant, demanding, and unwilling to consider and/or negotiate with America's requests on issues related to taxation. He believed in BIG GOVERNMENT. So along those lines Bob IS is like George.

I may be wrong but there was no representation in Parliament and therefore no one to vote or argue anything on behalf of the colonists. Seems that TJ had a problem with this and took offense to King G3. Don't know what he would think of your interesting twist on things here, clever as you are. I find my own apparent ignorance less than amusing.

I think Jefferson would be down with it. Hamilton would be horrified. And don't get me started on Gouverneur Morris!

Regarding your comment on "mass of Americans in 1776 (who) were perfectly fine with George III save for a handful of hyper-educated": Plausible then as it is now, as it has been the mass of Obabelievers whose financial hubba-boats are NOT being rocked at the moment, those who are " stupid and completely ignorant" to the undermining of American work ethic which is suppose to pay off... Fact is, the masses were comfortable and loyal to the mother country, to the crown, patriotic and comfortable with the status-quo UNTIL the jackass on the throne persisted in his unrelenting insistence on controlling the colonies from afar, affecting their ability to make ends meet. Obama would LEGALIZE a burden which the ACTUAL taxpayer would have to carry long into the future. Do you get that? Unless directly affected, as were the colonists by the undoings of George 3 on local economy via illegal taxation, Obama's supporters will never understand why we educated taxpayers are up in arms over his insane proposals and horrifying economics. Just as our early American ancestors became aware of the evil which persisted at the level of government in England, it is critical to the survival of this nation for Obama's supporters to get hyper-educated. George Washington would be worried.
