A bit of a scuffle has broken re: Winnie Cooper below in that a slightly older generation's version of her would be Phoebe Cates.

I love Phoebe Cates. You know this. An all-time Mrs. Xmastime. But she's not Winnie Cooper. Winnie I wanna hold hands with and pass notes in class and dream about high school dances. I have no thoughts of banging her. I don't wanna see her in Maxim magazine. Phoebe Cates I wanna do all of that. I mean, her penultimate scene is jerking off to tittays, for fuck's sake.
