Like a lot of Beatlemanics I've been looking forward to Peter Jackson's Get Back, a sort of re-do of the atrocious Let it Be, which is so unwatchable even I've never made it past the first 20 minutes. That film has always seemed to exist solely to push some sort of narrative that The Beatles absolutely hated each other at the end, which is ridiculous. Of course they argued, like anybody who'd been in each other's pockets for a decade, but thankfully Jackson's 56+ hours of new footage reveals that the fact is they had as much fun as ever before while in the studio during those weeks. Covid's pushed back the release until this spring, but I for one will be clamoring to see it the second it's out. Clamoring, Jerry!
