At a high school graduation dinner last week we all went around & said what
(if any) senior superlative we’d received back in our day; with everybody else having matriculated at private schools I took a bit of relish in pointing out that not only was I voted Class Clown, I was voted Class Clown for a class that was 65-70% black & you’re goddam right that makes it much, much more impressive.
