VHDone

The right-wing media has basically turned into VH1, hasn't it? In it's endless string of "We Love the 80s/90s/00s" etc shows, VH1 has the same three people comment on everything in the world, no matter what - white guy with dark hair that was on The Daily Show, white guy with dark hair that was on The State, white guy with dark hair who was a fag on that Showtime show. Bringing out the same ol' tired has-beens, no matter the question or issue. Similarly, it doesn't seem to matter what's going on, the right-wing media sprints immediately to Cheney, Rove, and Newt Gingrich. Gingrich in particular was a shining star this weekend; you can't turn on FOX News or see an article from the right which does not speak to or quote Newt (or highlight one of his "tweets.") I guess the thinking is "...okay, we have some pirates attacking a ship, and keeping it's captain hostage...we should probably call a former Congressman who's been out of office for a decade, see what he thinks we should do." Gingrich played his part perfectly, coming up with such a novel idea as "kicking the pirate's asses." Very out-of-the-box, rational thinking, I think.

Does an issue exist where the right-wing media WOULDN'T wheel out these same douchebags? "Dust mites may affect a female dog's menses; join us after the break so Karl Rove can explain how this makes you less safe from terrorists pirates The Riddler."

I actually like those guys (well sorta forced to) and I can avoid them. Why can't you, Xmas? Step back from CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, FoxNews & Inside Edition (it's all mere entertainment anyway) and just let your head clear.

WHO...

...after blaming the economy on Obama at 12:01pm Jan 20, have spent the last 5 hours touting the whole pirate ship thing not as an Obama success or failure, but, and I love this, as another trophy for the Dubya trophy case. That's right; these people are saying that since the SEALS et al were in place when Bush was in office, so it's because of HIM the pirates were whipped. Brilliant!! Could not make this shit up, fucking love it :)
