Attorney General Eric Holder made clear Thursday that the Obama administration recognizes the authority of federal courts, including the Supreme Court, to rule on whether the 2010 health care reform law or any other laws passed by Congress are constitutional
The declaration by Holder came in a letter to a federal appeal's court that had ordered the government to respond by Thursday in a legal and political spat over the health care law championed by President Barack Obama.
The attorney general personally met the deadline with a three-page, single-spaced letter-- following the specific instructions of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which is hearing a challenge to the health care law. What the what? Has this ever happened before? Is this normal? I don't wanna go crazy re: "everyone's a racist!", but doesn't this feel like another instance of putting Obama "in his place"? Don't the specifications, "3-pages single-spaced" reek of a social studies teacher making someone write "I will not _________" five hundred times or whatever as punishment? Just seems weird, n'est-pas? Is this a record for questions marks in a single post? Yes? No? Maybe? Circle one?
Obama shoulda sent back instructions on how to make spaghetti with a tennis racket. Cause fuck 'em, that's why.
