Numeric Palindromes

Yesterday one of the high school kids I mentioned HERE told me that she was born in 1991...probably an all-too-obvious bid to let me know that she already is or is about to be of legal age to be Xmased. Baby, please - not on the Lord's Day. Relax. Let me romance, DO MY THINGITY THING, for chrissake.

Anyways, it occurred to me that she, and anyone else born that year, had the greatest chance to be born in and then see another year which is a numeric palindrome in over 1000 years. 1991, 2002. Otherwise, you gotta live 110-120 years to see two different years like that (eg 1771 to 1881.) Last example that close woulda been 999 and 1001. Interesting.

I hope you didn't tell her that, Costanza.
