Perfect Upset is an awesome doc, as I've written here many times before, and from time to time it pops up on HBO OnDemand. So somebody needs to explain to me why the fuck it's not OnDemand now that the tournament has started. Wtf?
Also, why hasn't a similar doc about the 1983 NC State/Houston final been made? It's arguably an even bigger upset - while 1985 Georgetown was probably better than 1983 Houston, Villanova had at least played Georgetown twice that year, so they were at least very familiar with them. NC State shouldn't have even been in the tourney, and beating Ralph Sampson in the ACC Final (aka The Dark Ages, When UVa Hoops Mattered) is a big part of the story. Throw in Jimmy V, who could be an entire miniseries himself (including of course his later even-dudes-bawl speech,) and the documentary would seem to make itself. Also you could touch on the Louisville/Houston semifinal and how much that game made the final feel so anti-climactic, which surely helped State win.
Leiv Schriber, pick up your cell phone!!
Also, isn't it ironic that sandwiched between the two greatest upsets in NCAA Final history was a championship game that featured both of the Goliaths that were upset, yet nobody remembers that game at all? Funny.

I loved the Villanova v GTown upset, and in my book it's a tie with the Lorenzo Charles miracle.
i always assumed the Nova one was bigger for some reason, but now im feelin like its a tie too. and certainly worth an HBO doc
