"A Guy I'd Like to Have a Beer With"

There is a strange poetry to the fact that those who most vociferously demand that the concept of American Exceptionalism be accepted without question are the very same people who, ironically, are suspicious of any American that is in fact exceptional. Curious.

It's the same irony that the very people who pound their chests about "The American Dream" are so outraged that someone actually achieved it, flying in the face of the progenitor of the good ol'boy network they've so carefully weaved for centuries. Interesting.
