For the first time in like 25 years, I have tuned in to Jeopardy!, as Ken Jennings and some other dude are taking on some super computer.
First of all, these daily game shows that go on for 50 years are amazing - do people actually watch these every day? Were they all filmed in one day, many years ago, and they just roll another one out each day? Their daily, numbing sameness is amazing. It seems to be an entire field built on just kinda being there without anyone noticing.
And Alec: get on with the fucking game. I'm not interested in you teaching me how a fucking computer works, for fuck's sake.
