Rolling Out the 50

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the release of Love Me Do, The Beatles first single, which means of course now we're set to kick off about eight years worth of Beatles' 50th anniversaries, be it the release of Sgt. Pepper, or the first time John Lennon got pissed at one of the others making a "aren't you horny an hour after fucking her?" joke about Yoko Ono. It will be a barrage; I promise to keep it to a minimum. Ha! Here's some facts about the kinda-crappy but whatevs Love Me Do you might not already know, ie you live on Mars, or with wherever the hell all those people that buy Hoobastank albums and watch Two and a Half Men live. My favorite from this list:
This song has been covered by The Brady Bunch, The Chipmunks, Dick Hyman, Flaco Jimenez, Madooo, The Persuasions, Sandie Shaw, Ringo Starr and Bobby Vee.
Impressive.
