This is the Fucking Problem

This is what's smack-dab at the very top of the MSNBC website right now. Not attached on some link somewhere under "Today's Kook News", but the very first thing you see when you land on the page. Before Syria, before one of Kim Kardashian's farts.

Yes, your high school Tea Party friends who forwards you cartoons of Obama as a Kenyan warlord chief can't stand that there's finally some good news for Obama on the jobs report front, so they're accusing Obama of fudging the numbers. Of course, not once in the past four years have any of these people even remotely questioned the validity of the jobs statistics as long as they made Obama look bad, but suddenly, this is "Chicago-style" tactics at work. These are the people who decided they never actually wanted Bin Laden dead after it was Obama that killed him.

But the crime here is that in the era of "fair & balanced", we're supposed to treat this as real news. Front-page, right up at the top of the page news. 2+2 = 4, but we hafta give the guy screaming the loudest a chance to say 2+2 = 5. Some jerkoffs are pissed there's some good news for Obama and are just flailing around making shit up, so by all means we should treat it as something valid while "informing" the people. Of course.
