I'm sure by now most people have read about McCain's
"reset button." While it’s true Americans love the scrappy underdog/comeback story, do they love it when the reason the “underdog” has to come from behind in the first place is due to the fact that he’s acted in an almostly absurdly hate-filled (bordering on racist) douchebaggy way?

It becomes equally troublesome when someone is a comeback story three, four or five times in their life. At a certain point, that person is just somebody who loses as much as they win. Rather unremarkable.
agreed. eventually, you gotta ask "why is this person so far behind all the time?"
same reason Im weary of quarterbacks who specialize in the 4th quarter comeback. yeah, it's great to watch and all, but maybe you shouldn't have thrown those three picks back in the 1st half, Captain Hero.
