Comforting

I was reading this story in the Daily News this morning, shaking my head at what a tragedy it all was. How sad, how awful. Then I got to this quote.

"He was not your typical police officer," O'Shaughnessy said. "He was always a great family man, very level-headed, calm."

Hmm. What the fuck...that’s nice to hear, isn’t it? I guess the “typical” police officer spends his time at Flashdancers, blowing off his family and screaming at the top of his lungs while shooting off his pistols like a lunatic?
