Hopes and Dreams

I've been writing for weeks now about the importance of passing a MEANINGFUL stimulus bill - one that may not only lift us out of our economic doldrums, but one that can use these doldrums as an opportunity to create even BETTER lives than we had before - lives of enrichment, happiness and the hopes of becoming all that America ever promised us.

Then I stumble upon shit like THIS and I think oh for fuck's sake, what the fuck are we even saving ourselves for - hit the gas, let's hurl ourselves into the goddam sun already.
