This reader of Andrew Sullivan sent an email that is tuff to figure. On one hand yes, it IS commendable of Jim Cramer to willfully walk into a buzz saw and "take responsibility." And as Americans, we are by now trained to bark and clap like seals at such a move. "What a great guy."
But if I could make millions of dollars every year whether or not I was even marginally effective and the only price to pay would be to be publicly embarrassed by a comedian every once in a while, I think I would be laughing all the way to the bank.
But then, Cramer's particular brand of fuck-up cost many people their homes and savings accounts.
But, there's responsibility on both sides.
Interesting.
