A WINNER!

DING DING DING!! Finally, someone got an NCAA question right!
Name the only person to win the NIT both as a player and a head coach. Hint: was for the same school.

THE GNAT answered correctly: Jeff Jones of the Virginia Cavaliers, who of course was the point guard on the 1981 Final Four team (the year after they beat Kevin McHale to win the NIT) and then coached the 1992 Cavaliers to the NIT title. Also, if I'm not mistaken, went to Apollo High School, which years later would produce Rex Chapman. Interesting.

CONGRATS, THE GNAT! :)

Stay tuned for today's question. Tonight. Hmm.

And we still ran him out. If only he hadn't been diddling that classmate of mine, he may have lasted longer.
PS Thank God Brothatime doesn't read this blog often or none of us would have a chance to win any of these.
