I don't know what he's done on the big screen before or since, but shouldn't Dwight Yoakam win some sort of lifetime achievement award for his outrageously awesome job in Sling Blade? Gotdam.
Dwight is always great, but maybe he was just born to be Doyle. Sometimes "The Academy" ignores those performances. Like Matthem McConaughney as Wooderson in Dazed & Confused.
