A while back I had a post
HERE re: if Jesus came back, what makes anyone think he'd wanna hang out with the money & power-grubbing, war & torture-loving right wingers?
If Jesus came back, are we really supposed to believe he'd hang out with Bush and the Gang? Again, what Bible have I read, cause apparently it's the wrong one - certainly not the one that tells us to give all our money to the rich and completely ignore the poor. How could you NOT think Jesus would be horrified if he came back and saw us? How have we screwed up such a simple message of do good things for those in need? We’re the polar opposite, desperately sprinting to give all to the already fabulously rich ("What's the Matter with Kansas?" for the 9000th time.)
Anyway, thru Sully I saw
this article in the Washington Post and it looks like even the Christians have gotten sick of the GOP.
"If people who call themselves Christians want to see any influence in the culture, then they ought to start following the commands of Jesus and people will be so amazed that they will be attracted to Him," Thomas told me. "The problem isn't political. The problem is moral and spiritual."
Wow. Isn't this like Ike Turner being embarrassed to be seen with Chris Brown? Scene's changing, bro!!
