True Bullshit


I spent much of my Saturday fuming that the guide on tv gave Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins 2.5 stars outta 4. I was shaking my head thinking wtf? when I was scrolling around and saw something odd. Guess what movie got THREE stars outta four?

TRUE LIES.

Um...excuse me? Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins getting only 2.5 is whack in and of itself - but then to see True Lies, one of the dumbest nonsensical shit movies of our lifetimes getting 3? REEally? Am I high? Am I dreaming?

WHRJ is not a life-changing movie, it's not gonna break any records for originality. But it's got a nice core message (family, stay true to yourself etc), and at least three people that make you laugh out loud the second they're onscreen (Mike Epps, Cedric and Mo-Nique.) AND it's got James Earl Jones just for kicks! (and two Mrs. Xmastimes.) I mean, camon...it's fucking Citizen Kane next to fucking True Lies. For fuck's sake. Complete fucking bullshit.

But what about the JLC scene in True Lies? 5 stars right there. When I get my movie channels back, I am going to hafta watch that Roscoe Jenkins since it is on everyday.
