Bus Driver

Two days a week I take the bus from the GW Bridge to the office, and since it’s always the same driver I can easily recognize him. And I have never seen him anywhere other than in his driver’s seat. So this morning as I was sitting on a bench reading my book, I was quite startled when he suddenly appeared and sat down next to me to talk to some woman. My first thought was OH MY GOD - who’s driving the bus?!?!??! Half-expecting to see a bus now careening off the bridge into the water. My next thought was that for some reason it made me think of that moemnt in Hard Day’s Night (super slice of super slices) when one second the Beatles are on the train, and the next they are seen through the window running alongside the train. Trippy, man.
