Trustees of the programs said Tuesday that Social Security will start paying out more in benefits than it collects in taxes in 2016, one year sooner than projected last year, and the giant trust fund will be depleted by 2037, four years sooner.
Sigh. This makes me sad. Cause I'm sure I'm thinking the exact same thing everyone else is: gee, if only we'd have let the wizards on Wall Street handle it like Bush wanted. :(

Ya think this was just discovered? This boondoggle of wasted Social Security money has fostered my distrust of all government. But, of course, only the Republicans (and nary few of them) were willing to admit that SS was busted and that, correspondingly, the government had wasted all of the money it had been confiscating from everyone for years. Seriously, Wall Street and Corporate America can't be any more corrupt than Washington. YORF
