Enough Already.

Sometimes to get shit done in Congress you need to compromise. But if you have an overwhelming majority in that Congress, as well as overwhelming public support, you don't need to compromise. You can actually get shit done, instead of immediately leaping to compromise simply for compromise's sake, putting the voices of a few squeaky wheels above the hundreds of millions you're screwing over by watering down an agenda that doesn't have to be watered down in the first place.

Thank god for fucking Howard Dean:

This is a compromise designed to deal with problems in the Senate. But it doesn’t deal with problems in America. And I think it’s time for the Senate to stop playing politics, do what has to be done. … If the Republicans don’t want to get on board, then we can do this without the Republicans.
