I just found out that there is, in the entire history of the pageant, exactly ONE repeat Miss America: Mary Katherine Campbell, winner in 1922 and 1923. How awesome is that? Won, then showed up the next year and everyone was like gotDAMN, baby! STILL banging hot!!! Not bad, right?
Sad part of the story? Lost in 1924. In a word: ouch. "played out, baby...should gone with one of them new 2-pieces." "DAMMIT! I should've invented cameltoe!!"
