The Republicans have spent much of the build-up to Sotomayor's confirmation wringing their hands re: her "empathy" and "feelings" as a Latino woman and how such things may affect her thinking on the bench. So of course Lindsay Graham asks her what September 11, 2001 means to her. Fucking christ.
