I know it's the dog days of summer, and everybody's just trying to make it to Labor Day, after which I can no longer use my white ben-wah balls. But I looked up and down the subway platform this morning, and saw not a single suit. Nor did I even see a crisply ironed shirt with tie. Over half of the dudes were wearing shorts. T-shirts, bookbags thrown over there shoulders into Manhattan for work. Seemed strange for some reason.
