Are You Shitting Me, NY?

The Yankees lead the AL East and have the best record in baseball. They also, according to this post by Peter Abraham, lead the league in completely ass-shit songs to come to the plate/mound to:
Derek Jeter: Get Up (50 Cent)
Alex Rodriguez:
PSA (Jay-Z)
Johnny Damon:
Handlebars (Flobots), Psychosocial (Slipknot), Bleed It Out (Linkin Park)
Nick Swisher:
Save A Horse, Ride a Cowboy (Big & Rich)
Mark Teixeira:
I Wanna Rock (Twisted Sister)
Robinson Cano:
Who’s Real (Jadakiss)
Phil Hughes:
Cyanide (Metallica)
Phil Coke:
Fuel (Metallica)

Big & Rich? Twisted Sister, Linkin Park? Metallica..TWICE???!!?? WTF??? Ugh. A fucking nightmare jukebox. Every fucking one is awful.

I don't know what my own song would be. Will chew on that today (along with, probably, some classy trim.)

Man, only Mo has a good one. And since he's a HUGE fan of Broadway musical theatre, Tex's choice--although incredibly lame--could've been MUCH WORSE.

Here's an exchange you might appreciate:

Michael Kay: What song did you like to come out to?

Bernie Williams: None. That would distract me. Plus, Mickey Mantle or Joe DiMaggio didn't have one.

right? i mean, arent these guys supposed to be hyper-focused on the at-bat? do they really need to be listening to Slipknot at that moment?
