No Public OptionOf course, once given what they wanted, the Republicans still said no to Baucus.
Policies Across State Lines
High Risk Pools
Verification of Citizenship
No Public Funds for Abortion
High Deductible Policies
Let me say this. I really hope that we have come to the end of the "let's make the GOP look like complete fucking idiots, both with their tea-baggy histrionic cheerleading and complete lying about bi-partisanship (making it obvious Obama could throw in "free blowjobs for white guys as well as no deficit or public debt at all!!" and they'd still say no) part of the program, and a REAL bill, one written months ago in the name of REAL, PROGRESSIVE healthcare reform, will now be whipped out to sign. As I wrote here yesterday, if you're gonna get nothing from the Republicans no matter what, you might as well swing for the fences. And at some point we're gonna hafta say okay, the GOP has completely exhausted it's credibility on this issue, time for the real bill. If this has been some long political game, I really don't see how much more there can be before it ends. GOP cries for bi-partisan exposed as lies, check. Teabaggers exposed as mostly baffled people who like the confederacy and have no actual questions about healthcare, check. How much more can there be? Obama shot by Sarah Palin, patched together by Hawkeye Pierce?
