Question for Other White People

Ever been sitting in a restaurant or somewhere, and across from you are some black folks....and over the speakers come a fucking Sheryl Crow song? Oh, god. You just look at the black people and try to to Jedi mind-trick a "I'm so sorry! I hate this shit too! I'm so sorry!", don't you? ugh.

It really depends from song to song. I don't care that much. Anyway the Beatlemania was a major disgrace. It was a freaking phenomenon of mass hysteria that marked the height of the "teen idol" model. Furthermore, Beatles' "aryan" music (i.e. for middle class white people) removed any trace of black music from rock and roll: it replaced syncopated african rhythm with linear western melody, and lusty negro attitudes with cute white-kid smiles. That was veeery bad in my opinion. In short, their arrival represented a lifesaver for a white middle class terrorized by the idea that within rock and roll lay a true revolution of customs. It was the start of the end... and how about The fans? They're fuckin' annoying and they're everywhere!
