NYC BS

Apparently the Daily News ran a contest to see who is the greatest athlete New York City has ever produced, and voters voted in Lou Gehrig. Okay, I can live with him being number one - tho I would guess things to be a little skewed, it being baseball season and Gehrig getting attention 24/7 for a few weeks thanks to Jeter passing him to become the Yankees career hit leader. But still, okay.

Now take a look at the runner-ups: Sandy Koufax, Hank Greenberg, Whitey Ford and former New England Patriot Joe Andruzzi.

Joe Andruzzi? REALLY?

Anybody see something interesting there? As in, all white? To the point of voting for some offensive lineman for the Patriots over, oh, I dunno...LEW FUCKING ALCINDOR?!?!?!?!?!?!??!? Are you kidding me? Though he's never mentioned in the argmuent as much as he should be, he easily is in the discussion for "Best NBA player of all time," and he DEFINITELY was the most dominant college basketball ever - if not college ATHLETE. And not only does he not win, but he's not even in the top 5???? WTF? Grrr.
