Because of the absurdity of the New York sports media and it's fans everyone is going crazy today and piling on Jerry Hairston, like HERE, for blowing Pettitte's perfect game. Which is a shame since 1) it's not possible for him to feel any worse than he already does 2) you can't go back in time and fix it 3) the real Yankee fan is thrilled and amazed that Andy Pettitte gave up one run in 8 innings and has 12 wins this year so far. THAT'S more exciting than an almost-perfect game, which prolly wouldn't have happened anyway.
