I just found out that Peter Abraham, my go-to Yankee guy, whose blog has been linked to mine from Xmastime's 1st day...is leaving. To go to. Of all. Places. The Boston Globe.

He'll be covering the fucking Red Sox!!!!!

I don't know why I'm so bent out of shape about it. I've quoted him here a hundred times, and I know that within a year I'll feel the same way about whomever replaces him. But I am bent outta shape. I guess I thought he really loved the Yankees. But, like he himself says:

Whether you care to believe this or not, beat writers don’t root for teams. Our teams are our papers.

Sigh. The Marley of MLB blogs. I'll get over it. But a fucking stunner to me :(
