I just realized that the guy that wrote the book Eddie and the Cruisers also co-wrote the LIFE article that turned into Dog Day Afternoon. What the fuck? And his name is PF Kluge. And he also recognizes how atrocious the sequel to Eddie and the Cruisers was:

The first Eddie And The Cruisers was directed by Martin Davidson. The sequel, Eddie Lives, is a talent-free embarrassment.”
