Is There an Olympic Event for Spite?

I like how the right-wingnuts are so happy about the world saying “eff you to Obama,” since it woulda brought us 300,000 jobs and a ton of fucking benjamins. Yes, losing out on that is worth it if it can be used to make Obama look bad for a 24-hour news cycle. Awesome. And yes, I’m sure it was personal; I mean, it’s not like the Olympics were handed to Hitler at the height of Nazi power in Germany only 27 years after World War II, right? That'd have been bananas!!!!

Would be interesting to think about how these people will act when Bush tries to bring the Olympics to Crawford. I’m guessing the answer is “rather differently.”
