It's generally acknowledged that it goes without saying that having Jose Molina catch AJ Burnett means you hafta give up Jorge Posada's highly productive bat. And it's true, Posada IS a feared offensive player.
But in what I thought was a misprint in the Daily News yesterday but verified at Baseball-Reference.com, this season Jorge has struck out 101 times...IN ONLY 383 AT-BATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's incredible to me. 26% of the time, Posada doesn't even put the ball in play. What the fuck?
