About the Republican's faux circus re: Khalid Shaikh Mohammed I must say, you cannot claim they are not consistent in their rush to not have these people on American soil. They've never had a problem with Dubya rushing to let 140 Saudis (including two-dozen relatives of Osama bin Laden) leave hurriedly from the United States for Saudi Arabia immediately following 9/11, so you can't complain about them not wanting this guy here in New York City. And heck, this is NYC, can you IMAGINE their outrage if he was being tried in the "real" America? Shudder to think.
Also, I don't know what is going on in Guiliani's mind right now about this subject, but the phrase "pig in shit" does come to mind.
