NY Mayor's Race

Everyone's surprised that Bloomberg barely beat whoever the guy he was running against despite outspending him $594,000,000,000,000 to $18.14. Am I the only one who thinks that if his opponent had simply run on a platform of if elected mayor he would 100%, absolutely, guarantee that LeBron would come to the Knicks next year, he'd be mayor now? I mean sure it's a bit "if elected we will ban Algrebra II!" but roll the dice, man. Give the people what they want.
