Results Matter

The problem is that we need elected officials and political operatives who are willing to take responsibility for the idea that they will be judged first and foremost on the basis of outcomes. You don’t need an economic policy that people approve of, you need an economic policy that produces results people approve of—i.e., growth and jobs. You wouldn’t fix the toilet by polling people about what they think you should do, you would ask someone who knows how to fix toilets.

We don't need a bill that is cooed into our ears while slowly jerking us off, making sure that every single person in the country thinks it's gonna be gold-painted kittens wrapped in a rainbow of dreams or else we're just not gonna do it. We need a bill that is passed wherein after some time people are like "hey, whaddya know, not having to lose my house because I misspelled back acne is pretty nice." Results matter, not Facebook rantings, or blogs that would be better off merely sticking to things like sexy squirrels trying to sell cookies for money (The Squirrel Scouts are Cumming!! Vol IV.)
