Sometimes life is simply better when accompanied by swelling orchestral music. And Charles S. Dutton doing the ol' choking-up-hardclap. Beatty and Favreau are great. This scene's music rivals Hoosiers' score. Rarely does Hollywood one-up actual sports moments on film, but this might be one of them.

More than those depicted on the screen, the real-life Rudy's biggest achievement was getting the movie made: supposedly there was no Hollywood interest in his story but he lobbied hard to have it made. If that is in fact true, then, wow...
