Books

I see that Bobby Jindal is writing a book. Of course, that makes perfect sense, since law decrees that anyone who has been on television has to write a book.

At the building I work at there are always boxes of about-to-be published books lying around; they're all woman self-help/"how do i get to heaven?" etc etc type books.

As I asked last year, who the fuck is buying thse books? We've become a country pretty well-known for it's disinterest in reading books, and we're all supposedly broke, and yet these things are being cranked out by the millions. If you've been on tv for three seconds, you write a book. If you have any memoirs-meets-self-help discovery crap, someone will apparently publish it. Amazing. I mean, these things cannot be published for free, right?

Of course, I suspect we have finally reach our nadir, as look at who apparently is writing a book.  Good fucking god.
