Things are Strange

There's a lot of thoughts or emotions you can have when you find out that the guy that killed Malcolm X is about to be paroled. One is, "hey, is this yet another chance for Xmastime to use his 'Malcolm the Tenth' joke?" Another is that while over 10% of the population is unemployed right now, the guy that killed Malcolm X is not one of them.
Thomas Hagan has been held since moments after shots rang out in the Audubon Ballroom in 1965. He has been on work release for more than two decades, but he still spends two days a week locked up at the Lincoln Correctional Facility on West 110th Street in Manhattan.
