God, I Love Stephen Fry

I've been digging on Stephen Fry for a while now, including HERE.

I must say, I'm very much in agreement with what he said during this interview:
The most important philosophy I think is that even if it isn’t true you must absolutely assume there is no afterlife. You cannot for one second I think, abbragate the responsibility of believing that this is it because if you think you’re going to have an eternity in which you can talk to Mozart and Chopin and Schopenhauer on a cloud and learn stuff and you know really get to grips with knowledge and understanding and so you won’t bother now. I think it’s a terrible, a terrible mistake. It may be that there is an afterlife and I’ll look incredibly stupid, but at least I will have had a crammed pre-afterlife...… I don’t believe in God. I don’t believe there is a God. If I were to believe in a god l would believe in gods. And I love how when people watch I don’t know, David Attenborough or Discovery Planet type thing you know where you see the absolute phenomenal majesty and complexity and bewildering beauty of nature and you stare at it and then… and somebody next to you goes, “And how can you say there is no God?” “Look at that.” And then five minutes later you’re looking at the lifecycle of a parasitic worm whose job is to bury itself in the eyeball of a little lamb and eat the eyeball from inside while the lamb dies in horrible agony and then you turn to them and say, “Yeah, where is your God now?” You know I mean you got… You can’t just say there is a God because well, the world is beautiful. You have to account for bone cancer in children. You have to account for the fact that almost all animals in the wild live under stress with not enough to eat and will die violent and bloody deaths. There is not any way that you can just choose the nice bits and say that means there is a God and ignore the true fact of what nature is. The wonder of nature must be taken in its totality and it is a wonderful thing.
My bold.

Life is violent. Life is sudden. Life will end. I could get shot in the fucking head the same second I hit "post" for absolutely no reason. To leave anything on the table for some sort of next life that you hope exists makes you a fool.

Nr.X-: I am so surprised at your simple faith of the godless Mr. Fry. The fact that you embrace his atheistic logic to the point that you are willing bet your eternity that there is NONE, without doing any further checking is pure foolishness. Absolutely premature. Where is Mr. Fry gonna be when the second you DIE, you find yourself face to face with God Almighty? I may be wrong...but I don't think so. If I were to be wrong. I have lost NOTHING. Still I'm not betting my LIFE and DEATH on something which has NOTHING to offer me, You are. Think about it...Did That Fry-baby or any other 'god' DO anything for you personally, out of an undeserved LOVE? I don't think so, He's doesn't have your back, There's no insurance for you, no promise of life abundant on this earth, peace and freedom. You're a slave basically, to sin, we all are or were. Meanwhile, on his deathbed or sooner, this Frydude is gonna get saved and where the hell are you gonna be? No besides give you some kind of freedom to live your life any way you choose without accountability that man offers you NOTHING. Come-AWN! Is this the way your mother raised you?!!!
Sheeeewiz....

Before you blurt out your FINAL ANSWER, Check out Josh McDowell's 'Evidence that Demands a Verdict'. Study Apologetics. Give yourself the benefit of informtation which has already been compiled by self professed atheists who went after the truth, in order to prove it wrong...but were convinced otherwise; OF course they were. They'd be blundering idiots not to. There are men more brilliant than you can shake a stick at and you are latching on to Fryola like a dayold cheeseburger. Sorry.

Try reading Josh McDowell, Ravi Zacharias and Lee Strobel. These men would not settle for anything LESS. Please do yourself a huge favor and consider this: Our God ( the one you dismiss) is NOT YOUR father and won't be until you accept Jesus as your saviour. He is only reachable through the bridge who is Jesus Christ. The only way to salvation is through repentance. Not through understanding. That's all. Please. You have to hear the other side and THEN....decide.
