Because I'm an adult I can't pretend to be shocked that BP took advantage of the government being complete pussy douchebags to stitch together their oil drilling thingamabobs with Scotch tape and egg noodles in order to increase profits. But because I'm not a fucking retard, I am pretty shocked that apparently nobody took about 10 minutes during that whole time to wonder "okay, what do we do if this shit goes tits up?"
