An intimate documentary about Bruce Springsteen will air on HBO this fall.
According to Variety, director Thom Zimny's film The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town chronicles a tumultuous time in the rocker's career.
The film follows Springsteen through the years 1975 to 1978, in which a lawsuit with former manager Mike Appel prevented him from recording songs.
The doc takes place between the making of his albums Born to Run and Darkness.
The Promise, which features never-before-seen footage of Springsteen rehearsing at home, will air in October.
This photo taken of Bruce the printer was taken by Doug Yule, a former member of The Velvet Underground who was working at the printer at that time and just happened to have a camera!
