"Penny the eyes of my old albatross," DB makes feeling sorry for one's self exceptionally poetic. Seriously. The whole album is drenched in self-pity but rises up out of that funk by sheer pugnacious will and the impeccable songwriting and lyrics.
I'm speaking of "Life is a Problem". Metaphorically burying one's chef d'oeuvre is a stroke made by only the ballsiest of artists.
