MSNBC asks the tough questions: Was John the most interesting Beatle?
He probably was; he always seemed the one most willing to do "whacky" things. But they were ALL interesting, just like they were all funny, and talented, and smart etc etc.
Of course he's also helped out by the fact that he had an interesting death - gunned down in front of his own house by a madman is a lot more interesting than, say, when Paul eventually dies on his farm in Scotland surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 80. As I wrote HERE, Lennon's death is part of what spring him to the head of the pack re: "interesting, most awesome Beatle."
