ACC Smell in the Air

Watching Battle for Tobacco Road: Duke vs. Carolina means I'm starting to get tugs of sentimentality re: the ACC basketball season is nearly upon us. Specifically, I think 2 things:

1) hanging out with Art Heyman who was relentlessly hitting on Watty

2) seeing footage of Carolina's 1957 national title made me think "the ACC didn't win another one until 1974," which reminded me of the mysteriously empty ACC legacy of David Thompson.

3) And the strange case of the greatest point guard I ever saw.
