Serious Questions for Serious Times
Is Alex P. Keaton the 3rd-greatest sitcom character of all time, behind only Archie Bunker and George Costanza? I don't know, but he's definitely in the discussion.
this is a good question: best sitcom characters ever. your top two win hands-down...i would have to add basil fawlty and stewie griffin (do cartoons count?). also ted baxter
cartoons are tuff because 1) Stewie's career is split in two parts: a) when he's funny, and b) the stupid "destroy Lois!" part of the early episodes 2) the door would be opened to the Simpsons, and 3) Bugs Bunny is funnier than anyone anyways 4) but not as funny as Pepe le Pew
good call on Ted Baxter, although I dont know if he got the screen time. He'd go against Norm and Cliff, which would be tuff. Also, it just occurred to me that Al Bundy might be #4. Also, Charlie from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia is rocketing up the list.
