Over the holidays, Brothatime!! and I were extolling the virtues of Vitamin C's Graduation (Friends Forever); both in her genius of choosing a rather nebulous yet omnipresent holiday-as-rite of passage and being the first person to write a song about it, therein ensuring that for decades to come the song will be played a gazillion times at graduations every year, and also for basing the entire thing on Pachelbel's Canon in D, a hook that everybody already knows and loves, and lends the song some kind of "classic" status.
Then this morning I was about to step on the escalator at the GW Bridge and it occurred to me how much "Pachelbel" sounds like "Taco Bell." And it made me laugh!
