The problem with bikes is that while it's incredibly obvious to me that yes, the country would be better off if more people biked than drove cars, people who ride bikes everywhere are FUCKING INSUFFERABLE.  They barrel down the street like they own the place, and then they want you to give them an extended slow-clap standing ovation whenever they show up on a bike, or yammer on and on about riding their bike.  It's like yes, the world would be a better place if nobody watched tv, but people without a television are fucking intolerable.
